There was a performance bent on the Lexus stand, proving that Toyota's upmarket premium brand is keen to shed its image as a purveyor of steady-Eddy, high-luxury but low-on-thrills cars. What’s new on Lexus’s London motor show stand?The seen-it-before LF-A and the on-sale-now hotshoe IS-F – as well as its full line-up of hybrid models. We’re getting rather accustomed to seeing the LF-A – the Lexus supercar has been knocking around in one form or another since it was unveiled at the Detroit motor show in 2005.
Audi TT RS Plus costs from £49k
With the Audi TT RS Plus order book about to open in the UK, Audi reveals it will costs from £48,945 for the manual coupe. Audi revealed the TT RS Plus back in February – ahead of a debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March – as a new range-topping model to sit above the existing TT RS. The TT RS Plus gets pretty much the same performance and power levels as the US version of the TT RS, but Audi has positioned the RS Plus at the top of the range in the UK and Europe as a more hard-core version of the regular RS.

However far Hyundai has come in the UK and Europe in the last few years, they still don’t think Europe is ready for their range-topping saloon – the Hyundai Genesis. But that could be about to change with the arrival of the 2014 Hyundai Genesis, which Hyundai has started to tease with the release of the first photos of their new car ahead of a debut at the Detroit Auto Show. Looking like a slightly tamer version of the Hyundai HCD-14 Concept we saw at Detroit at the start of the year, the new Genesis gets Hyundai’s latest Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language which brings with it a new Audi-esque front grill (well, Hyundai/Kia’s design guru, Peter Schreyer, did come from Audi) as well as a sleeker, more elegant style.
